CFTC seeks a Camp Director for the 2021 Summer Drama Camp series. Please submit resume, sample lesson plan, and any questions to fairfaxcitytheatre@gmail.com. Interviews will be scheduled with the Artistic Director, Amanda Herman Snellings, and members of the CFTC Board of Trustees.

The Camp Director will be responsible for
- Designing and teaching curriculum for four, one-week themed sessions of drama camp for elementary-aged students, with a performance each Friday including acting, playwriting, design/art for theatre (students to create props, costumes, set)
- Leading camp operations at Lanier Middle School from 9am-4pm including arrival/pick up, class activities, snack, lunch, and performances
- Communicating with parents and guardians about camp activities, answering questions, or addressing issues
- Coordinating with Fairfax Parks and Recreation for registration and Lanier Middle School administration/custodial staff onsite
- Hiring and supervising teen counselors to assist in camp operations
- Creating content for website and social media to promote camps and highlight performances in coordination with CFTC's admin team
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Theatre or Education
- 2+ years experience teaching at a drama camp
- 1+ years experience planning drama curriculum
- Must be able to pass a background check
