Improv Workshop
Fairfax City Regional Library
October 9th, 2019

Learn the basics of comedic long-form improvisation; the very same fundamentals that helped launch the careers of today's top comics like Tina Fey, Will Ferrell and Key and Peele. This class will cover: overcoming inhibitions; listening; agreement; working as an ensemble; full use of the body; as well as starting to find characters.

Instructor: Pete Bergen is a DC based stand up comic and improviser who has appeared at clubs and festivals all over the region. Trained at Washington Improv Theater and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York, Pete was a founding member of the award winning long form team, "Bright Young Things" and can be seen on stage with "The Score". A long form group that takes an MP3 player from an audience member and weaves an entire show around songs found on it.

Date: October 9th from 7pm-9pm
