CFTC Performing Drama Camp
CFTC’s popular Performing Camp returns for Summer 2021 with a fun and exciting play. This four-week camp is committed to bringing more opportunities for experienced young actors and theatre techs. Campers will audition for roles at the start of camp, rehearse the show throughout the four weeks and perform the play outdoors in the final week. All campers will contribute to tech by safely creating their set, costumes and props. Additionally, the camp is seeking campers only interested in technical theatre, who will help run the lights, sound and work as a stage management team. Led by a team of experienced CFTC counselors and staff, campers will learn every aspect of the theatre process as they work together as a team to bring to life a creative story full of wonderful characters. Former camp attendees have been featured on the stages of Ford’s Theatre and Signature Theatre.
Please note: This camp will be following all Covid Safety Protocols. In order to ensure safety and the maximum of family and friends enjoying the play, the final performances will take place outdoors. This is subject to change as the city and county safety protocols adjust. Staff and campers will wear masks, social distance, complete a daily temperature check, and fill out daily health screening forms. Cleaning will occur throughout the day. This camp will also have a combination of both indoor and outdoor activities on a daily basis. This fun, summer educational performance opportunity is not to be missed! After care is available for an additional fee.
