CFTC’s Fall One-Day Drama Camps- September 22 and November 6
Don’t spend your Teacher Workdays playing Minecraft or refreshing Instagram. Indulge your creative side! Join us for a full day of Drama, Art & Music with arts instructors who will share their craft in a fun, relaxed environment. Due to space constraints, before- and after-care are not available for these day camps.

Learn the basics of comedic long-form improvisation; the very same fundamentals that helped launch the careers of today's top comics like Tina Fey, Will Ferrell and Key and Peele. This class will cover: overcoming inhibitions; listening; agreement; working as an ensemble; full use of the body; as well as starting to find characters.
Instructor: Mikael Johnson; a multiple award winning improv performer, to include winning the Washington Improv Theater's FIST tournament (2011 & 2013), and a regular player at the Dojo Comedy Theater, Chinese Menu Comedy, Last Ham Standing and Comedy Sportz.
Location: Old Fire Station Restaurant, 3988 University Dr, Fairfax, VA 22030, 2nd floor.
Registration, Food & Drink: Registration is open to adults 18+ and includes one drink ticket. $20 per class. Refund policy below. Come early for dinner at the Firehouse Grill or stay late with new friends!

Policies, Cancellation and Weather
All classes are non-refundable, but if you withdraw one week or more before a class start date, you can elect to receive a credit valid for any class in our current season. All class credits expire at the end of the calendar year, and must be used before that date.

In the event of a closing or class cancellation due to inclement weather, please check our website and social media pages for updates. Reasonable efforts also will be made to contact students by phone and email. In the event of a cancellation, a make-up class will be offered. If the student is not able to attend the make-up class, a partial refund will be issued.
If there is a medical emergency and we are unable to contact a parent or if time does not permit, 911 services will be used. All expenses incurred are the responsibility of parent/legal guardian.
Code of Conduct
To provide students with a safe and supportive environment, we do not tolerate any form of physical or verbal abuse, harassment, vandalism, or the use of any illegal substances. Any behaviors found in violation of this policy will be addressed and the student may be asked to leave classes or workshops. No refunds or credits will be issued if a student is expelled for a violation of the Code of Conduct.
Photos and Video
CFTC (and its designees and agents) has permission to utilize student’s image, likeness, actions, and statements in any live or recorded audio, video or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the class/camp in any medium or content for for publicity purposes for the City of Fairfax Theatre Company. No names, addresses or other personal identifiers will be used in any publicity. Drop Off and Pick Up
