Take a Journey on the Shrek Trail
Share your completed trail by July 10 for a chance to win a family 4 pack of tickets to SHREK THE MUSICAL, July 15-23!
Looking for a FREE outdoor activity this summer that could also win you a family four pack of tickets (2 adults and 2 children) to see "Shrek The Musical"? Yes? Oh good, we thought you might be! The City of Fairfax Theatre Company along with the 10 participating trail sponsors below welcome you to "The Shrek Trail"! Use the "Trail Map" to find 10 "Trail Stops" where fairytale creatures from "Shrek" are hiding/displayed in the window. Write down which character you see at it's coordinating stop number, take a photo of you and your final map, send it to use using the directions below! Adults will love stopping and shopping at some of the stops along the way, and kids will love the thrill of the search and practicing their writing skills during a screen-free activity!
HOW DO WE PLAY?
- Print off the trail map and bring it with you
- Visit the trail stops (participating companies) to see which fairytale character is displayed in their front window. We gave you one character to get started! Donkey in stop #3!
- Record the character on your trail map
- When you have found as many as you can, take a photo with your map, post it on instagram and use the hashtag #shrektrail so we can find it! If you don't have an instagram account you may also email the photo to CFTCshrekTrail@gmail.com!
WHEN CAN WE WALK THE TRAIL?
- Anytime you want! All of the trail posters are visible from the sidewalk so you can visit at any time.
- The trail stop posters will remain available from now, until July 10th!
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR THE RAFFLE?
- All submissions need to be received by 11:59pm on 7/10 to be entered into the raffle.
- The winner will be announced on 7/11!
IS THERE A FEE FOR THE TRAIL?
- NO! It's totally free! Enjoy some time outside and the beautiful square around the City of Fairfax!
