About the Show

Direct from its extended run at the 2017 Capital Fringe Festival, "Orson the Magnificent" explores a little-known side of cinema legend Orson Welles: his lifelong love of magic. DC Theater Scene rates it a perfect five stars, calling it "an utterly enjoyable ride with awe-inspiring tricks!" Local actor and magician Lars Klores, last seen at CFTC in his role as Professor Harold Hill in "The Music Man," portrays Welles as he spins tales of the great magicians while performing his own astounding feats of mind-reading and illusion. Half magic show and half dramatic biography, this unique production is sure to enchant and entertain audiences on the CFTC mainstage this season.

Running Time: 70 minutes, no intermission
